UPDATE: March 30, 2020
We are thrilled to announce that EACYPAA XVIII has been rescheduled for March 31-April 3, 2022 at the Westin in Pittsburgh, PA.
March 13, 2020
After much consideration and ongoing discussions with the Host Committee, EACYPAA Advisory Council has decided to cancel the 2020 dates for EACYPAA XVIII. EACYPAA will follow recommendations made by the Pennsylvania state government and others across the United States. While we are saddened by this decision, it is in our best interest to do so, as the health and safety of our guests and the community are our highest priority.
We are currently exploring our options to reschedule the convention and what this looks like for our Host Committee, program participants, bidders, and you, our attendees. We know EACYPAA is an integral part of people’s lives, and we look forward to keeping you all connected with us and each other as we navigate through these unprecedented times and situations.
Though our March 2020 event will no longer take place in the way and at the time we intended, we continue to strive toward our primary purpose – to carry the message to the alcoholic who still suffers.
All booked hotel rooms will be automatically released and Attendees will be notified by email. There is no need to contact the Westin to cancel your room.
The EACYPAA Advisory Council
The Eastern Area Convention of Young People in Alcoholics Anonymous meets annually. The convention provides an opportunity for A.A’s from all over the Eastern Area and all over the World, to come together and share their experience, strength and hope as members of A.A. EACYPAA is overwhelming evidence that large numbers of people are achieving a lasting and comfortable sobriety in Alcoholics Anonymous. Like any other convention, it is an opportunity to learn more about the program and sobriety.
